Athletic Excellence
Charlotte Rhythmic Gymnastics Center at SportPlus Academy is the first and only dedicated rhythmic gymnastics program in the Charlotte area. We train girls from age 4 through their teen years, from first ribbon to national competition level.
Most people are familiar with artistic gymnastics, the one with balance beams, uneven bars, and risky tumbling through the air. Rhythmic gymnastics is a completely different sport. If artistic gymnastics is focused on brute strength, rhythmic is focused on grace. Girls who train with us improve their flexibility, agility, strength, and musicality. If your daughter loves music, dance, ballet, and beautiful costumes, rhythmic gymnastics is the sport for her. And compared to artistic gymnastics, the risk of injury is significantly lower, making it an excellent long-term choice.
From first class to national champion. Every girl finds her level here.
An introduction to rhythmic gymnastics for the youngest athletes. Girls learn the foundational movements, flexibility, and coordination that form the basis of the sport in a fun, encouraging environment.
For girls who have outgrown the beginner level and are ready to develop more advanced rhythmic gymnastics skills. Classes introduce multi-apparatus work, more complex choreography, and the technical refinement that takes a gymnast to the next level.
Team girls train for state, regional, national, and international level competitions. This is a full commitment to rhythmic gymnastics as a primary sport with a clear path to championship-level performance.
